Sold client opened product with broken seal; Morningside Pharmacy Tel: ***, Corner Rivonia & Outspan Road, Morningside, Sandton

<p>On or around 16 July 2016, I made a purchase at Morningside Pharmacy, I purchased two products. I indirectly bought an Evox Casein protein but I meant to buy the Evox Mega Grow. I made the purchase around 2 or 3 o' clock. I then went to the BSN store next door and bought creatine. I was buying the Mega Grow for a friend that asked me to buy her protein and I was close by the store. When I got home I noticed the seal of the Casein protein was broke and the thin cardboard film seal had a slight narrow opening. I immediately went back to the store for a exchange or refund and they refused to refund me for the purchase. There wasn't a manager in the store so I left my details for the manager to call me on Monday. On Monday the manager called me and accused me of tampering with the seal. They can weight the product and see that I've never used it, also the narrow opening in the cardboard film seal , in the product was very narrow and could not be enough for someone to take a scoop or serving. I do not use casein as its a protein for night usage and usually used commonly by persons taking steroids. as they need a 24 hour anabolic phase. It was disheartening for an honest customer that brought back a defective product only to be accused by the same store of tampering with the seal. Also there were marks on the side of the container, this is consistent with the product having been dropped and this could have opened the seal, yet I was falsely accused of tampering with the seal. I purchased supplements only two weeks ago from the same store and the seal was intact and the protein was ok, but now this is embarrassing and humiliating to accused a repeat customer of tampering with the product. I returned to the store around 4' o clock, was roughly around an hour after the purchase. I will never shop again at the store and I will tell everyone I know about the ****** store manager that accuses non-white or black customers by default of tampering with the product when its obvious that the store's staff may have intentionally tampered with the product. In the absence of proof he accused non-white persons of tampering with the product.
