I have always liked this restaurant, good food, nice vibe and fabulous staff. Unfortunately last week I found out that 20% of my gratuity I give to my chosen waiter is taken by the house. I called this morning to hear if this was true since I have not seen any notice of said practice in the premises and spoke to their manager, he curtly informed me that the 20% they take of my money goes to the kitchen staff and bar tender. I asked him how he could justify this and his reply was that the waiters get paid per hour AND get tips. True, but it does not give you the right to take a percentage of a patrons tip that they offer to a waiter. It is my money that I choose to give to whom I want to. You have no right to take a percentage of it. I already paid the house!!!
