R50 per tooth per filling,disgrace

I would like to share something about Monument Dental on Voortrekker Road.I had made an appointment for consultation, and I would need fillings too.I asked the receptionist over the phone if they charge medical aid rates.She told me that they do.I was relieved to hear that.So I said to her that as long as there is no co payments that I'll attend my appointment.She said there are no co-payments But they charge a R50 fee per tooth that you recieve a filling on.She said they charge this as the filling material is more expensive as what the medical aid pays for and that the filling material they use is of a better quality.So that means if I get 4 fillings done that will be R200.I find it ridiculous that 1 has to pay that when you pay medical aid that covers dental benifits and tariffs.Especially when 1 is unemployed how can I be expected to pay this extra amount.The worst is when I phoned to book the appointment the receptionist never even mentioned the extra R50 per tooth I would be liable,so had I not phoned and inquired about a co-payment,I would of been handed a bill to be settled.I just think this is unacceptable so I will be going elsewhere.
