Health and customer service issues

I visited Montreal Coffee and Bagels in Paardevlei today, and it was shocking. The glass cabinet had no doors, leaving bagels, pastries, and drinks completely exposed to flies a serious hygiene disaster. Paying for food that’s crawling with insects is unacceptable.

The staff, especially Thabang Nhlamulo, were rude and confrontational when we requested a refund. The manager, Tasia Coccioni, shouted over us on the phone, refunded only part of the order, and showed zero respect or customer service skills. This is management training staff how not to behave.

It’s clear many of the recent 5-star reviews are ****, likely posted by staff to drown out honest criticism. Strangely, Renier Van Der Westhuizen even appears to have posted a review, despite being involved in our refund process. We’ll wait to see if the refund actually goes through in 2–3 business days.

Montreal Coffee and Bagels in Paardevlei, stop hiding behind **** reviews. Clean your store, train your staff, treat customers with respect, and fix your hygiene. Until then, I cannot recommend this place.
