Terrible Booking Experience – Avoid If You Value Your Time and Security

Our experience with Tsogo Sun App(used by the Piazza Hotel Montecasino) was nothing short of a nightmare. The app never worked properly on either iPhone or Android, and the website wouldn’t allow us to pay either. We were repeatedly told to use the app, which was useless.

To make matters worse, it has now come to light that the third-party payment processor they use, stores customers' card details, including CVV and expiry date, which is a serious security concern. Despite multiple requests, we have received no confirmation that our banking information has been deleted.

Customer service has been completely unhelpful. Agents do not read the information provided, and they simply mark the issue as resolved without actually addressing it. We never even got to stay at the hotel because we couldn’t complete the payment, leaving us scrambling to make other arrangements.

If you’re booking from outside the country, expect even more issues—Tsogo Sun App & the Piazza Hotel seem incapable of handling international reservations properly.

I cannot recommend this service to anyone unless you have endless time to waste trying to get absolutely nowhere. They show no interest in resolving customer concerns, and I honestly don’t know how they expect to stay in business with such appalling service.

Avoid at all costs.
