Prohibitive costs for wheelchair patrons

<p>Big Concerts is hosting the Blue Man Group in Johannesburg and Cape Town. The Cape Town Venue allows for a free wheelchair assist ticket whilst Teatro Monte Casino does not - so to take 2 wheelchair patrons to see this show costs R 1,820.00 (versus R 910.00 in Cape Town). To add insult to injury - these seats are right at the back of the venue - basically the worst seats available. In my 19 years of living with a disabled child, I have never had to pay for the wheelchair assist ticket. In fact, when traveling abroad, both the wheelchair ticket and the assist ticket are free. Cerebral Palsy children can not be left unattended as they are totally dependant on care, so in reality I have no choice but to attend the show. Both Computicket and Big Concerts have advised that this is stipulated by the Teatro. Teatro says they do not set the prices - but they have never in their 10 years/235 shows offered wheelchair assist tickets. Maybe they need to re-look this policy</p>
