Bad attitude and hygiene
My Husband and I have been celebrating our 4th anniversary at Monte casino and then decided to watch a movie 20 mins into the movie there were a lot on shuffling a row behind us only to find out that there was a huge RAT in the cinema, at first my husband and I didn't believe it and thought it was a prank so we moved to a isle seat close to the light few minutes later the rat decides to visit again this time crawling up the wall everyone used their flash on their phone to see it and it was really big and disgusting, I complained to one of the attendants who went to the manager who first said out loudly what am I going to do about the rat not realising we were just outside his door, he looked more frustrated in us then the problem we had he gave us 2tickets and said come back when the rats are gone i refused and asked for my refund on the tickets instead not too happily he went and got us our cash and refunded us.. we haven't even got a courtesy sorry of even a refund on our very expensive popcorn and cokes which were all left back in the cinema when we walked out really disappointed!
Good day Litricia
Thank you for advising us of this incident at Movies@ Montecasino on the 23rd March and firstly allow us to profusely apologize for the rodent in the cinema.
As you may or may not be aware, there is a rat issue throughout Johannesburg and we are doing our best to curb the problem at Montecasino. We are in the process of replacing the rubbers on the outside of all the emergency fire escape doors from the cinemas, this is aimed at preventing rodents from squeezing between the gaps of the doors and floor and should prevent this from happening again.
The cinema manager who assisted you on the 23rd March will be disciplined accordingly.
Thank you once again for your continued support and valuable feedback.
Kind regards,
Relationship Marketing team
