***** AF

I purchased a vehicle from this "fine" establishment in January 2019. The sales service was pretty good and every employee seemed to be incredibly friendly. Overly so actually, so I should have guessed that this Stepford Cuckoo atmosphere was hiding something sinister. It seems that although I am not a novice purchaser of vehicles, the charm and down-to-earth nature of Thuli and Chris were strong enough to distract me from red flags I should have picked up on. A mere 2 months after owning the vehicle, I began experiencing problems with it. It was by no means an "entry level" vehicle and it was a 2016 model so I was perplexed. Upon taking said vehicle to the closest dealership workshop, it was discovered that all 4 tyres, the battery, wiper blades and brake discs all had to be replaced. There was also an overheating issue which the workshop could not actually solve for. Now, in 2 months, one could argue that I was the one who caused all that wear and tear but I can assure you that I am not a rally driver and I was driving less than 50km a day at that stage with that vehicle. I believed that I was owed an explanation especially after I was shown the roadworthy approval. So I contacted the dapper Thuli only to be met with a lack of communication back to me as he was conveniently never in the office every time I called. When I did manage to get hold of him, he was rude and unprofessional. I then escalated this to Chris but boy oh boy... Talk about out of the frying pan and into the fire. After dealing with Chris, it became apparent why his staff are the way they are. He was extremely rude, arrogant and uncaring. I decided to stop trying and had to resist the urge to physically go back to Monte Carlo. I had to pay for the replacements of all the above in cash on my own. The result of this deception and lack of transparency on their part was that I had to sell my beloved vehicle after a mere 11 months of ownership as it got to a point where it was dangerously overheating on a regular basis when I was in peak time freeway traffic. From what I've read on other reviews, Monte Carlo seem to be in the business of selling sub-par vehicles to honest folk. Be wary my friends. This dealership is toxic and downright ***** AF.
