Poor form, poor attitude, substandard "boutique".
I am a huge fan of Mont Blanc and I have been using their products for a while. But the experience received in their Sandton "boutique" (if you can even call it that), has changed my perception of the brand.
I purchased a 2 rollerball refill pack for my StarWalker pen. A couple of days in, the refill went bad and started skipping. I went in to the store to show them this and to complain.
The treatment I got, was that towards a 4 year old who has never used a rollerball pen before. I was given every excuse under the sun, instead of offering to replace it or at least apologise.
1st excuse - The ink is finished - A pen I have been using for 2 weeks and that I use mostly for signing documentation. A pen I do not write essays with.
2nd excuse - It has dried up due to not storing it properly - I kept it sealed, in its box in a cool dry area. I went on to explain that I have only stored this refill a couple of days before using it, therefore your store isn't storing it correctly - I got the blank face.
3rd excuse - Maybe it is expired - This is where is get's interesting - So I asked them to show me the printed expiry date (which doesn't exist). They went on to say that there is a standard 1 year expiry, my response being, how on earth would a purchaser know how long a store is keeping stock before selling it - Another blank stare - Totally outrageous!
When I came to write this review, I was actually shocked with all the poor reviews against this store, with zero response from the store. If Mont Blanc international were to get word of this, they would be appalled and ashamed at the misrepresentation and *****ing of their brand at this store - I will lodge an international complaint and bring their attention to this.
It is time for new ownership and management.
