Bribery and *******ion

We rent one of 5 houses on a plot in Mnandi. The landlord demanded access to one of the houses that we were looking after for friends to show to prospective tenants. The current occupants' lawyer made it clear that the landlord has no right of access in the tenants' absence. When we informed the landlord that we would not give him the keys, he gained access by cutting locks. Five prospective tenants were taken through the house. The landlord's stated opinion is that tenants have no rights and that he will do as he pleases, when he pleases. We called MonitorNet and a response vehicle attended to the complaint. When the landlord was confronted by the reaction officer, he called senior personnel at MonitorNet, who instructed the reaction officer not to do anything and to leave the property immediately. This raises a serious question: Does MonitorNet uphold the law or protect people who break the law because of who they know and deep pockets? I am utterly disgusted and will NEVER deal with MonitorNet as they seemingly do not care about right and wrong.
