Insurance cancellation

I have been an MTN customer for as over six years or so and always taken my insurance with the insurance company that they would provide when you take a new contract and i have never had any issues with the previous insurance company when i made claims where my device was lost or damage they always ensured that the handset was paid or repaired.

Ever since Pinnacle Marketing took over it has been a nightmare dealing with them from their *********** consultant or their call centre which takes forever for them to answer their phones.

I recently booked my phone for my S7 which was damaged as it fell from my flat and booked it in for repairs , it wasnt a smooth sailing to even get the phone to the repair centre as they wanted a copy of my contract at first for the device to be booked which i didnt understand as i wasnt making any device replacement claim, i needed them to come and take my phone for assessment, it took them three weeks to finally get someone to approve the repair claims, once the repair fee was paid they took in the phone and it took them another week or two for them them to get it to their repair centre and as we speak i havent received my device back.

Now this morning I receive an sms and email stating that they are cancelling my insurance , bare in mind the phone has been fixed which means i will be getting it back anytime soon and i need to look for a new insurance company with an old phone and the criteria in most cases is the phone needs to be new, how do they expect me to find a new insurance with an 11 months S7?

And since i was such a high risk customer why didnt they refuse to insure my phone when it was still new and not come up with this whole story of being new under writers as they had all information and history of my claims. As even when i took insurance with them i was in excess of claims as i have claimed more than three times already, they could have refused to insure me than.

please help as they either need to insure my phone for the duration of the contract or provide me with a new handset and i will gladly get a new insurance company.
