Warning to Parents – My Personal Experience with Mommy Assistance This review relates to Mommy Assistance, the nanny recruitment agency with the Facebook page shown below and WhatsApp Business number 084***5186 n the Vaal triangle area. I am sharing my experience to help other parents make an informed decision before using this agency. In my experience, many of the promises made by the agency did not match the service I received. The agency advertises that their nannies are trained and experienced. However, the nannies sent to me appeared to have little or no practical childcare experience, and some were very young 18 and 19. Based on my experience, some had never even cared for a baby before but was told by agency they did have experience. The agency also said that their nannies are first-aid trained. Throughout my dealings with the agency, no proof of first-aid training or certification was ever presented. Another promise was that the nannies would follow a developmental play program through an app. In my experience, this did not happen consistently. The app was only used after I repeatedly requested that it be incorporated into my baby's daily routine. Even then, it appeared to be the free version with limited content, rather than the comprehensive developmental program that had been advertised to me. I was also concerned by what appeared to be a lack of a proper database of vetted nannies. In my experience, nannies appeared to be sourced only after a client requested one, often through WhatsApp groups or job adverts, rather than from an established pool of thoroughly vetted caregivers. Some candidates who came to interview with me indicated that they had not even been interviewed or seen by the agency beforehand. They are basically an auteur recruiting agency not a nanny agency at all. Over a period of just three months, I had 4 different nannies. This constant turnover made it impossible for my baby to build a secure, consistent bond with a caregiver. Stability and continuity are essential for a baby's emotional development, and I found this aspect of the service particularly concerning. Based on my personal experience, I cannot recommend Mommy Assistance. I encourage parents to ask detailed questions about the agency's vetting process, verify qualifications, first-aid certification, references, and previous childcare experience before entrusting anyone with the care of their child. This review reflects my personal experience and opinions and is shared to help other parents make an informed decision.
