Molenvliet & African Leisure

I am writing to express my frustration and disappointment regarding our recent booking at African Leisure Hotels Stellenbosch. We made a reservation on August 30th for the dates of December 13th to 16th. However, upon arrival to check in, we were informed that the hotel was closed, and we were told that they had notified MolenVliet of the cancellation of wedding guest accommodations as this was linked with them but no communication was sent to us.

We paid R15,000 for our accommodation, and now we find ourselves stranded with no place to stay for the entire weekend. This is completely unacceptable. We were never informed of the closure, and it is shocking that the hotel did not notify us in advance. If the hotel was planning to close in December, this should have been communicated to us long ago, especially as early as August when we made our reservation.

The hotel has promised to refund us, but if this is not done, we will be forced to take further action. It is deeply troubling that we were treated this way, and we feel completely let down by the lack of communication and disregard for our booking.
