Inconvenient

<div>PART OF MY EMAIL TO MOIMOOI: Not once was there an apology for me not being informed about the loadshedding schedule that's the client's responsibility to check, just blame shifting THEIR RESPONSE: Moimooi agent offered your a package payable in advance for treatments hence the loadshedding is was not part of the offer however our agent has informed you that if there are any queries eg: loadshedding you should contact our Client Service Department and we would have suggest you download the Woodstock app to ensure that you do not miss out on treatment. I still don't see an apology! The company's ridiculous policy is that it's a client's responsibility to check the loadshedding schedule or miss your treatment that you paid for. No contacting the client to inform him/her that it will be loadshedding during your treatment time, can we please reschedule. The inconvenience of arriving to your appointment to be told it's loadshedding and the treatments you booked for cannot be fully done - you can have a facial without steam, we can wash your hair without a blowout. You should have checked the loadshedding schedule. Keep in mind it was my first time to the salon. I had telephonic interaction with two staff members and not once did the loadshedding schedule get mentioned, neither is it on their emails or website under terms and conditions AND I'm still liable to pay. I'll rather pay elsewhere for convenience and professionalism.</div>

Dear Ms O Connor,

You received R800 value of treatments for FREE and you post a review that just rambling on about  load shedding without any concrete suggestions . it’s so easy to find fault however totally lacking in any real  suggestions regarding solutions . Most of our members totally understand the load shedding affect on us and similar businesses ave are so appreciative of the steps we have implemented in order to mitigate the affects including keeping our membership fees as low as possible . In your  case besides the R2000 worth of treatments, it’s R125 per treatment ( usually R350)

Sorry for your misunderstanding.

Yours sincerely,
Customer service dept

Reviewer Update
Dear Customer Service

I am being honest, factual and objective as possible, herewith some insight to my dissatisfaction.

I became aware of your company after entering a competition on Facebook. I received a telephone call and instead of being informed I was a winner, I was told I am a finalist in the competition (I was very excited to receive a call about a competition I entered) yet, I got presented with a membership plan instead and offered me free treatments prior to my membership fee being deducted. A competition entry is for the intended purpose to win a free prize, is it not?

I am grateful for the free massage I received, thank you, as I was not able to get the original treatments that was booked for me as mentioned above.

Furthermore, due to your policy that I need to notify you within 20 days prior to cancelling my membership - I am still liable to pay the fee at the end of May 2023 for treatments I would have used in June 2023. Thus, from my end no treatments have been made use of as part of my membership as I only recently joined and the cancelattion fee as mentioned is actually the membership fee for the month.

Furthermore, I am expressing my dissatisfaction with the inconvenience I experienced at my first ever visit to your spa and the lack of notification regarding loadshedding schedules. A sincere apology would've sufficed as I continuously mentioned but still not forthcoming.

My previous suggestions telephonically and via email included loadshedding policies in your terms and conditions, website, and email communications (including contracts), and notifying clients timeously about the loadsheding schedule to reschedule appointments and not loose out on treatments to prevent similar issues for future clients - constructive feedback to help improve your services, and not just merely stating that you can contact customer service - please be more specific.

I understand that you're experiencing difficulties with rescheduling appointments due to load shedding, and you believe it's the clients' responsibility to check the schedule. Dealing with unexpected events like power outages can certainly be challenging for businesses and their clients. While it may not be the clients' responsibility to check the schedule, it's essential for businesses to communicate and manage such situations effectively. Here are a few more suggestions for handling this:

1. Proactive Communication: Notify your clients in advance about the possibility of rescheduling appointments due to potential load shedding. Inform them about the potential impact on your business operations and assure them that you will do your best to accommodate their needs.2. Regular Updates: Keep your clients informed of any changes or developments regarding load shedding and its impact on your appointments. Send out regular updates through emails, text messages, or phone calls to ensure they are aware of the situation.3. Flexible Rescheduling: Offer flexible rescheduling options to your clients, allowing them to choose a new appointment time that works best for them. This demonstrates your commitment to customer service and helps minimize any inconvenience caused by the rescheduling.4. Online Appointment Management: Consider using an online scheduling system that allows clients to view and manage their appointments independently. This way, they can check the status of their appointments and make changes once load shedding schedule has been communicated, reducing the need for direct communication in every instance.5. Alternative Communication Channels: If you anticipate load shedding during specific periods, consider using alternative communication channels, such as social media platforms or your business website, to provide updates and instructions to your clients.
Remember, open and clear communication is crucial in managing such situations. By taking proactive measures and keeping your clients well-informed, you can minimize any potential inconvenience caused by load shedding and maintain good relationships with your clients.

It is important for me to prioritize my own comfort and well being, as there are multiple spas and wellness centers available, so I can explore other options that might better suit my needs and preferences.
