Assault by Mohamed's taxi driver

On the 6 August 2019 at approximately 14:00 my daughter had taken a Mohamed's Taxi from my residence to go to the mall. When she got into the vehicle she asked the driver to stop along the way to fetch my niece . The driver had agreed and requested that an amount of R100 to be paid before calling the control room my daughter then refused and the drived then called the control room and they said it will be R90 by which my daughter agreed upon. Nearing the pick up point of my niece the driver stated that she cannot stop and that a policeman was driving behind her and so she drove straight to the mall. She then dropped my daugher off while telling her that she must call upon another taxi to go and fetch her cousin and then continued to demand for her payment. My daughter was yelling at her to go for my niece and that she will not pay until the lady turns back .As my daughter jumped out of the vehicle the driver started to harass my daughter tugging at her neckline to the point where she cut the neck chain my daughter had on. She then started screaming at her and continued to physically harass her. The mall security had to intervene to stop her from continuing. My daughter then paid and the security had to instruct the driver to leave the premises. My daughter was left with a scratch and blue marks on her right arm and the trauma of being harassed by someone that is meant to provide a secure service. The owner of Mohamed's taxi was approached to report the incident to which he has still not showen any remorse, has not apologized nor provided any feedback regarding the matter . Upon trying to contact him again via phone call, his work personnel refused to allow me to speak to him. After going twice to mohamed premises we have then decided to take the matter further and it is currently under investigation.. I am writing this as a concerned citizen and a mother and would like to make the community aware so that this incident does not occur again.
