Stay away from Modus Nissan Tygervalley
Good day
I regretfully need to write this email as I am an extremely unhappy customer from Modus Nissan in Tygervallet Cape Town.
i tried to purchase a Nissan x-trail, which would have been my 4th x-trail. I have a love for the brand and model, but my experience with this branch both left me with a very bitter taste in my mouth, as well as I have lost all respect for the Nissan brand which I have previously respected and loved.
There is quite a chain of events to explain, which may require more than just an email that I am writing, so I will not go into too much detail right now.
Just to name a few problems I have are:
Modus Nissan Tygervalley registered a vehicle in my name after they knew it was involved in an accident in transit to me. I live in Nelspruit. Modus Nissan Tygervalley promised to replace the vehicle involved in an accident with a similar vehicle. One in Bethlehem was found for a similar price, and they purchased the vehicle and supp**** it to me as a loan vehicle, as the previous x-trail was written off. They retracked their offer to replace the vehicle, by settling the previous Wesbank account, and then issuing me with a new OTP which was for much more money, and their offer on my trade-in was drastically reduced. I could not find resolution with them, and was disgusted by their actions so I returned the loan vehicle. I have since purchased a Kia Sportage, and I will never again look at a Nissan, due to the under-handed approach by this dealership. I acted in good faith throughout this transaction (I was forced to be lead on by their actions taken without my consent or even discussion most of the time), but the dealership had other agendas and did not consider me the customer. I will and have told my friends and colleagues to stay away from Nissan, as the integrity cannot be trusted.
I look forward to a conversation with Nissan SA where I can get their view, otherwise the Ombudsman's opinion.
Kind regards SN Salzwedel
