Poor Service

Hello Peter, Me and my family would like to report a poor service that we received from Mr Sithembele Modi Qhankqolo of Modi association, reside in No 27 Prince Road Queenstown, thats where his business is situated , his contact No ********** 478.

On the 7th December 2018 my 21 year old little brother was arrested in Sterkstroom and he appeared in Sterkstroom court on the 10December 2018 and they give him a reminder until the 7th January to appear in court again, while he will be inside the prison.

So as we are the family we saw that he cant stays there for such a long time cause his still a minor and he never been in that place, so we decided to find him a Lawyer that is Mr Modi, we went to see him on the 13 or 14 December and tell him the whole story about my brother's case and we told him that we would like him to appeal for him for bail, so that he can spend the Christmast out of the jail while he is waiting for his court date on the 7 January.

He agree and charged us R5,500 to get him a bail before the 25th of December. He stated to apply for him a date in Sterkstroom court on the 17 December 2018 and it was successful but on the day of the court Mr Modi was not available so they send him back to jail. He apply for him another date on the 24 December 2018 and it was successful , on the 24 i called him he told me that his on his way to Sterkstroom court and they brought my brother again to the court but Mr Modi he dint come and i called him his phone was going on voicemail. Because it was for the second time now he dissapointed us i drove to his offices in Queenstown cause he was not answering my calls or my dad calls, eventually he managed to come back to me i said lets meet in his office that day of the 24 December.

We met in his office i told him that we are not happy at all about the service he gave us in this case and his phone his always on voicemail but he is dealing with customers, he appologised for that i accepted his apology and ask for a way forward he told me that his going to try to apply for him on the 28 December 2018 to appear in court again or on the 31st December 2018 but intold him that im going to give you a last chance on the 28 and 31 December, cause my brother his going to court any way in 7th January.

So he agree and says if those application date was unsuccessfully he will invoice us the work that he did and refund us whatever balance we agreed.

And i told himnto let us know if he is winning with those 2 dates but nothing i didnt hear anything from him since the 24 December . On the day of the court first thing in the morning i called him his phone was on voice mail after 30 minute he called me back and told me that he was busy on the phone with the procetutor and i ask my self how come his busy with the prosecutor on the day of the court? But insaid ok come back to me then, since that day o never heared from him, around 12 on that day i called him his phone was on voicemail my father went to his office was closed i send him several messages asking about our refund he never come back to us until today.

That is why i decided to write this letter to you and ask for your assistant in this matter.
