NON PAYMENT OF BOOKING FEES after 23 days.

NON PAYMENT OF BOOKING TO GUEST HOUSE AFTER 23 DAYS! MODERN VACATIONS CHARGE ADDITIONAL 40 % ON TOP OF GUEST HOUSE FEES AND THEN DONT PAY THE GUESTHOUSE.

I had a really bad experience with this company. They booked at my guesthouse (GOLDEN VIEW) in Clarens on 22 November 2021. They extended the stay of their clients another 2 days through me and sent a proof of payment for the additional 2 nights on 22 November. (The guests were already staying at my property). The POP was sent by email from Standar Bank, but the money was never received. After enquiry with them and sending through a bank statement they admitted telephonically (after 4 days) that the payment never went through on their side. The payment had some kind of" hold on "it and it never paid out into my bank account. On Wednesday 8 December they promised the payment will be made on Friday 10 December. I was very unhappy that I had to wait another 3 days. Now on 14 December, 23 days after booking, I still have not received the payment. Richard ,who was very friendly and helpful is ignoring my phone calls and follow up emails.

Please note that they don't deal with the establishment in a respectful way!! I was shocked to discover that THEY ADD 40% COMMISSION ON THE ESTABLISHMENT PRICE AND OVER CHARGE THEIR CLIENTS. BE CAREFUL IF YOU BOOK THOUGH THEM OR RECEIVE ANY ENQUIRIES THROUGH THEM. THEY DONT DEAL WITH GUEST HOUSE OWNERS IN A RESPECTFUL MANNER.
