Mochachos Midrand sells boulders for food!

<p>On Tuesday 6 Feb, 2017, during my lunch break, i ordered a chicken Chimichanga from Mochachos in Midrand. Not only were the staff unpleasant (hey, that's a norm in SA) but my food took rather long. I picked up my order when it was ready and went back to work, as my lunch break was already over by the time i received it. What i found on my arrival was appaling. Firstly, a chimichanga, according to the Mochachos menu, is, 'A tortilla filled with shredded chicken breast or rump steak strips, salsa, cheddar cheese & deep fried to perfection. Served with sour cream & guacamole'. Sounds yummy, right? OR NOT! What i found was a rock hard tortialla fried beyond recognition and so hard that i was barely able to bite into it. Literally, it was so heavy, my colleagues found it amusing to drop it on the ground without it breaking, making a loud thump. It contained NO salsa, almost NO cheese and what I got in exhange for cream cheese was mayonaise. Yep, MAYONAISE as a subsitute for cream cheese!!The guacomole smelled like it was artifical, and had an oily substance floating on the surface of the tub. I was so completely appalled that i immediately returned for my refund. The manager gave my R46.90 back, no questions asked. He proceeded to the back of the shop to reprimand the staff, but i barely received any eye contact, let alone an apology for the inconvenience of firstly, the terrible meal they served me, and secondly, the inconvenience of having to drive back there during my work hours. Why do theyeven have a telephone number adverstised if their number is not in service? Probably because its a complaint holtine! Mochachos is a great restaurant but its franchisees like these that give the brand a bad name. I would absolutely NEVER recommend this restaurant to anyone. What people dont understand about business, especially in food, is that it is an experience for a customer, from the minute you walk in to the last bite you take. Everything for me was lousy. This has not only left a bitter taste in my mouth ****ERALLY) but i will continue to spread the word to my colleagues. I will never eat at this restaurant even if it is the last place to serve food on earth- I would rather starve!</p>
