I had one of the worst fast-food experiences of my life at Mochachos Eastgate and feel compelled to warn others.

I ordered chicken from this branch on 2 August 2025, and from the very first bite, it was clear something was wrong. The chicken had a disgusting, old oily taste and smell—like it had been fried in the same dirty oil for days. It was honestly inedible. I brought this to the attention of the owner, expecting a simple apology or at least a refund.

Instead, I was met with rudeness and arrogance. The owner flat-out refused to refund me and to make matters worse, he even took back the chicken I had already paid for, leaving me with absolutely nothing. No apology. No replacement. Just an abrupt and dismissive attitude. His exact words were along the lines of “Go complain to head office if you want,” which speaks volumes about how little he values customer service.

This is not just poor service – it’s completely unacceptable. To serve food that smells off and then treat a paying customer like a nuisance is a disgrace. I will never return to Mochachos Eastgate and will be warning friends, family, and the public to stay far away.

Avoid this place at all costs. You’re better off buying a rotisserie chicken at a garage shop than eating this greasy mess.

I will also be taking this up with Mochachos Head Office, because this kind of service should not be allowed under any brand name
