Do not waste your time calling their Call Centre.

I called their call Centre explaining that my key is stuck on my kitchen door. I asked the call Centre agent how much it would cost, she then explained that she will send an sms with all the info I require.

A minute later an sms was sent, informing me it would cost R350 for a call out fee. I ignored the sms, and five minutes later I was sent another sms, asking if I still required their services. I then responded with my home address, and within 20min, two guys had arrived at my house.

They advised that the lock on my door will need to be changed and replaced with a new one, and they then told me the job would cost R1100. I then questioned why the price would be so high, and then they advised it’s because it’s a Sunday. They then said they could put a second hand lock at a Price of R600 if the price of a new lock was too high, but they suggest they start removing the lock while I decide whether I want a second hand lock without guarantee or a brand new one.

Five min later when they were nearly done since it was a small job, I said that I will take the brand new lock, thinking that the total cost will be R1100 as agreed.

When they finished changing the basic lock, they handed me a R3900 invoice. I then questioned why a change from the agreed price, then then said they had to add initial fees and the price that was originally given to me excluded Labour, it was just for the lock. I disputed this, but they wouldn’t budge, and they wouldn’t leave my house until they received payment.

I ended up negotiating the invoice down to R3500, and had to do an EFT payment to get them to leave since I did not have enough cash.

Even though they managed to change my lock thus solving my initial problem, they didn’t even bother to clean all the mess they created while cutting the old lock. I was conned to paying high fees, and when I complained, was bul**** to make a payment, since they wouldn’t leave my house until they got an electronic confirmation that the payment was made. Stay away!
