Lying about the required repairs

Took in a Mac book and they said the motherboard was rusted and would cost R10 000 to fix it. I opened it myself and cleaned it out. Still working and the rust was just wiped of with some Q20. Mouse and keyboard needs replacing however both can be purchased for under R2000 so they outright **** about the problem.
