Good day Mobicred Customer Services, I would like to formally lodge a complaint regarding the handling of my account and the service received from your call centre. I am very disappointed with the experience. I contacted Mobicred at my own cost to query why my account reflects arrears for June, despite paying via debit order. My concern is that no debit was taken in April, while payments were successfully processed in May, June and July. I need clarity on why April was not collected and why my account is now in arrears. During my call, I was told the system was down and asked to call back after 12:00. This is unacceptable, as I should have been assisted or my query properly logged without incurring further cost. I request the following: Full payment and debit-order history, including April. Explanation for the failed April debit order. Confirmation of whether a debit was submitted to my bank and why it failed. Reason my account reflects arrears if the failure was not my fault. Details of any interest, penalties or fees added. Removal of any charges caused by this issue. Review of the consultant’s conduct. A written response to this complaint. I am not refusing payment, but I will not accept arrears without a clear explanation of the April debit failure. Please treat this as a formal complaint and respond urgently.

Mobicred customer service leaves much to be desired. I loathe having to call them and emails feel like snail mail on a crippled pony. Dear Mobicred Customer Support, I am writing to formally raise a complaint regarding my experience with your customer service this morning at approximately 08:44. I contacted your support team simply to request that my account be unlocked. I fully understand and appreciate the need for identity verification to protect customer accounts. My concern is not that a verification process exists, but rather the extent of the personal information requested and the lack of transparency throughout the process. The consultant began asking me a series of questions without explaining that I was being taken through a security verification process or indicating how many questions would be required. I was first asked for my ID number, followed by my full name as it appears on my ID document, my email address, cellphone number and residential address. I answered each of these questions in good faith. After providing all of that information, I reasonably believed my identity had been verified. Instead, the consultant proceeded to ask which bank I use and then requested specific digits from my bank account number. At that point, I questioned why so much personal information was being requested, as I had already provided several pieces of identifying information. The response I received was that there were "still more" questions to come. That response made me increasingly uncomfortable. In today's environment, where cybercrime, identity theft and data breaches are unfortunately common, customers are constantly reminded not to disclose unnecessary personal information over the phone. While Mobicred may trust its employees, customers do not have an established trust relationship with individual call centre agents. When a customer is asked to disclose such an extensive amount of personally identifiable information, the process begins to resemble the type of information gathering commonly used in social engineering attacks. I believe there should be greater transparency. If customers are expected to answer multiple verification questions, they should be informed at the outset that they are entering a security verification process, why the information is required, and what they can expect. More importantly, I believe Mobicred should review whether it is necessary to collect so much personal information over the telephone when more modern and secure authentication methods, such as one-time passwords (OTPs) or multi-factor authentication, are widely available. As I became increasingly uncomfortable with the process, I requested to speak to a supervisor. Unfortunately, I was placed on hold for several minutes and eventually had to end the call without receiving any assistance. I was also disappointed by the manner in which my concerns were handled. When I questioned the number of personal details being requested, I did not feel that my concerns were acknowledged or addressed with the seriousness they deserved. Instead of receiving reassurance or an explanation, I was simply told that there were more questions to come, which only heightened my discomfort. I would appreciate your assistance in resolving the issue with my account as soon as possible. I also request that this complaint be formally investigated and that Mobicred review both its identity verification procedures and the customer experience associated with those procedures. Strong security is important, but it should be implemented in a way that also protects customer privacy, promotes transparency and reflects modern cybersecurity best practices. I look forward to your response, including an explanation of your current identity verification process and whether it is being reviewed to align with contemporary privacy and security standards.

If I could give 0 stars that would be to much ! This is a very unprofessional company . The consultants are extremely rude . They call 10 times a day when things don’t go there way . When you a a consumer have a problem they don’t contact you after how many emails and enquiries! This is super pathetic . I will not recommend this to anyone ! They are at fault ! The consultant thinks she is all high and mighty untill the moment she hears she is in the wrong and then cuts the call . What customer service is that ? Maby training in people skills will benefit this company or hiring people that actually wants to work

Mobicredit failed to record my payment and offers no assistance I am extremely frustrated with the poor service I have received from Mobicredit. On 17 December, I made a manual payment of R1,700 because no debit order was taken that month, unlike previous months. Since then, I have been struggling to get Mobicredit to correctly record this payment on my account. I have contacted Mobicredit numerous times via phone, email, and WhatsApp, requesting that they allocate my payment and fix my account, which is incorrectly showing as being in arrears. Despite all these attempts, I have received no proper assistance or resolution. This week, after noticing that once again no debit order was taken, I requested a statement. I initially assumed this was because my R1,700 payment was more than the monthly instalment. However, when I received the statement, I discovered that my payment was never recorded at all, and Mobicredit is still claiming that I am in arrears. This is completely unacceptable. I have proof that I made the payment, yet Mobicredit has failed to allocate it and has ignored my repeated attempts to resolve the issue. The level of service and lack of accountability is shocking. I am requesting that Mobicredit urgently: Allocate my payment of R1,700 made on 17 December Correct my account and remove the incorrect arrears Provide a corrected statement I hope this public complaint finally gets the attention needed to resolve this matter.
