Skype not loading on Mobicell Astro

Asked for technical support and got someone who knew nothing technical. Was "not allowed" to put me through to anyone who did.

My problem is with the Mobicell Astro which is an Android phone. When you try to download Skype for this phone, it just says "waiting for download" and nothing further happens.
