Requested money for mobicel phone repairs

So i bought 2 mobicel legends at the price of R1400 each at Ackermans on the 9th of April, at Ndofaya mall Meadowlands after a few weeks the mobiles starting having speaker problems to and extend that they completely loss the network connection.So took them back for repairs, now mobicel sent a confirmation that the phones were recieved but now we requested to pay R1400 to have the phones fixed...failure to do so we still have to pay R200 to have them released how so is my question. Since wen are we requested to pay money for mobiles that have hardly a month. Pleas assist
