Mobicel mifi V6 router

Mobicel mifi V6 router

On Tuesday while I was online I saw someone talking about Mobicel router. I decided to order it online, worst decision ever. I paid the R550 for the router online. On Wednesday I received it from their courier company. I was impressed because it was quick, if only I knew.

I tried turning it on but it didn't turn on so I charged it. While it was charging I read the user guide manual. Once it was charged, I put in my sim card and turned on. It kept on showing the red light on the network. I decided to try getting it to work the following day (Thursday). On Thursday I turned it on but the red light was still on and it kept on switching itself off. I assumed it's probably because of the network. I decided to send Mobicel support an email and I woke up to their reply on Friday to reset. I reset it and it started working. I was super excited but excitement was short lived because it continued with switching itself off. I finally realized that something must be wrong with the router. I sent the Mobicel support an email replying to the previous one. I was told to take it to the nearest store, when I clarified I bought it online, I was sent a repair form. I was surprised when I received the repair form because you repair something that is broken but with me I received their product like that. As I'm typing this, I'm still waiting for a reply on who is going to collect the router and who is liable for the collection fees. I also want to know what I am I suppose to use because I paid for a router yet I don't have it. According to their repair form, if it was 7 days after buying it, I would be expected to pay a deposit for them to get it fixed. So right now I just hope they are not waiting for 7 days for them to make me pay a deposit while I informed them about their router not working before 7 days.

I'm disappointed in Mobicel! Right now I regret buying this product because it was my first time using it. I think it's better we stick to the tried and tested products because I don't think I will be going through this if I had bought a router I know and have tried.
