Damaged our phone, refuses to pay for it

My friend found this company on gumtree and needed her iPhone 6 phone screen repaired. She had damaged it recently.<br> The phone still worked perfectly fine but the screen was badly damaged. <br> This company promises to fix screens on site and they came in to our workplace to fix it.<br> What should have taken 20 minutes (according to them) took longer and eventually they had to take it off site to repair it.<br> We were then told it would be repaired and returned the following morning. It was not. Day after day there were excuses.<br> The phone first went in on June 12, by June 18 it was still not returned and no date that had been promised had been stuck to so out of frustration and my friend needing her phone for work we told them just to return the phone as it was and we would get the screen repaired somewhere more reliable.<br> Through all this time they had said the LCD shorted while removing the screen and should just need a reboot and one or two days to fix, when we got the phone back and took it to the iFix store, they told us the phone was irreparable and there were parts missing. We went back to the company and told them they need to replace the phone or pay for damages but they refused to.
