Rotten service and empty promises

Worst experience ever. It's been more than a month and after many attempts to make contact and loads of empty promises, my settlement has not been paid and instalment has not been refunded.

I traded in my Honda to buy a bakkie at the local MMU branch on 8 October. By the 25th of October the loan on the car that I traded in had not yet been settled by MMU and the instalment for October was deducted from my account. During this time I enquired many times about when the account will be settled and all I got were empty promises. AND by this time they had already sold the car to someone else - how is that even possible?!

After a huge fight with the DP at the local branch the refund only came on the 3rd of November. Still no news on the settlement.

When I had to go to MMU head office to fit the towbar on the bakkie (after yet another waste of time when it could not be fitted at the local branch at the agreed time due to the fact that all the parts for the towbar was not sent to the local branch) I tried speaking to someone there.

My enquiries about the settlement were met with bad excuses, blame shifting and no one able or willing to address the issue and sort it out, or take any responsibility. Main office blames the branch. The branch says their hands are tied because it is head office that makes the payments. One person says they don't know and the next says it is not their department, and whoever is responsible is not available, "but they will get back to me".

Eventually got to speak to Patience, face to face, who promised that she personally will sort it out and give me feedback the very next week (she even took my number and promised to text me so that I can have her number and get feedback directly from her. I'm still waiting... and when you call the office to try and reach her then you get cut off, wrong numbers or voicemails and more empty promises.

I have spoken to Patience, Ronin, Sven, André and others who did not give their names, all promising to sort it out, but no one calls back or answers when you try to reach them again.

Today their office is unreachable again, no one picks up the landline or a cellphone. It seems impossible to get a straight answer or someone willing to help.

I can't afford to wait for whenever they decide to have the decency to pay back the latest instalment, or to wait another month for them to settle the loan of the car that I traded in. And again - how did they manage to sell that car and register it on the new owner's name without settling the previous loan?!

The service at MMU is plain rotten! I'm still waiting for any form feedback. This is ridiculous and needs to be sorted immediately.
