Conned by MMI Holdings
My husband signed a mutual separation agreement due to Ill Health. Mine Symington (HR) sent forms in October 2018 to be completed regarding the withdrawal of the pension/provident fund. I queried the form sent as there was no mention of ill health. They were adamant that this was the correct form. After several emails MMI Holdings admitted that the incorrect forms were sent for completion. We subsequently completed the correct forms. I was also informed now by Momentum that they never receive the correct forms with regards to the pension/provident fund withdrawal. They’ve also advised that this is the first time they’ve dealt with a withdrawal due to ill health! What a bunch of amateurs!
With regards to the Ex gratia payment, the incorrect reason was inserted when MMi Holdings app**** for a tax directive from SARS and my husband was subsequently over taxed. They now refuse to apply for the correct tax directive from SARS. Rizwan Salasa advised “As per the attached email dated 8 November 2018, all issues relating to this matter has been addressed. The decision taken is as a result of the full and final settlement agreement signed on 2 October 2018. In light of the above the company considers this matter resolved.” What does the tax directive with SARS have to do with the settlement agreement? We have been sent from pillar to post since 2016 when my husband suffered a stroke. I have never come across people who are so *********** and vindictive in my life. They have done nothing to help during this process and our lives were placed on hold because of their incompetence!
