Faulty Samsung

SAMSUNG G5 Odyssey 1440p Gaming Monitor

Purchased from EVETECH, With faith in such a renowned brand I expected good after service.... This gaming monitor has a warranty that expires in December 2024. The reported issue with this monitor is that the screen would intermittently go blank during a gaming session, and would have to end up hard rebooting my pc to regain a signal from the monitor

To Troubleshoot...Alot of money was spent replacing hardware (replaced ASUS STRIX RX VEGA 56, ASUS STRIX RX 5700XT and now I currently have an ASUS STRIX GTX 1080TI and even Replaced my entire Motherboard to an ASUS ROG RAMPAGE VI OMEGA EXTREME, even with my Macbook plugged into the Monitor there was constant flickering using HDMI) to no joy.

The issue is not related to my cabling nor my pc components as same tests were performed on a friends DELL 1440P monitor and issue was not replicated

Sent the monitor in to EVETECH which was then sent to MM All electronics and SAMSUNG refuses to replace/repair the monitor because they cannot replicate the issue, even after I have sent them several video footage and explaining all the troubleshooting I have gone through...Clearly they do not have the correct resources to test this monitor they way I am

There is even an article on the SAMSUNG forums about this specific monitor reported 2 years ago where multiple people are experiencing the same issue with the Displayport source from the monitor

I am on the brink of getting a lawyer to take this matter further in court as I am fed up with multi billion dollar conglomerates ripping of their customers, taking our money and dishonouring their integrity towards their customers

I will never ever buy a SAMSUNG product again seeing how I need to struggle with the bad after service I am getting to get this product replaced

To add to the above, the issue got so bad that the screen stays blank at POST and I cant access the BIOS even, my PC POST states there is something wrong with the Display device with indicated VGA light
