Poor Support
Good Morning People If you live in the Hilton/PMB area and are considering going the Solar Route. Whatever you do, think twice about using MLT Inverters. They maybe as they indicate, very good Inverters. The problem is they only have one installer in the area, Genset. If you have a problem with this installer, like I did, then you must just live with it. MLT Inverters will not help in anyway and they will not introduce you to any person outside of the Hilton/PMB as they are, in my opinion and my experience, protecting Genset's business in this area. If you need any advice and help with this please feel free to contact me.

06 Feb 2020, 12:08We have no record of correspondance with you. Who did you speak to?
We have many installers. In your specific area you can contact GenSet Solar or Ample Power.
Not sure how we can help. Samsung cannot help you with a dispute over a Vodacom contract.

06 Feb 2020, 13:06Oh wow that's strange that nobody in your office has ever heard of me, as your company MLT Drives to MLT Power to MLT Inverters operate out of the same building, have the same address and contact numbers. Maybe you need to update your website and remove your company from the MLT Group of companies.
The fact that I have a letter from MLT Inverters standing by your warranties (I take it I'm responding to the same person who emailed me making threats of taking me to court) it has your name and signature on it. Hellopeter has a copy of that letter. The surname is the same as the person that I originally dealt with. I wonder how that letter doesn't make me a client? My point of the letter is to help people and give them advice so they don't end up in the same position that I got myself into when using Genset. The fact that I had an issue with what Genset supp**** me, in compassion with what I had ordered. I, in a lengthly email, addressed to the MLT Group explaining my situation with Genset, that I had spent over R500K with them and that all I wanted was another installer of the MLT Products otherwise I would have had to remove the entire system and start over and that would be throwing R500K down the drain. I asked MLT Group if they could provide me with another installer in my area. The response I got was "We don't have any other installers" now all of a sudden you make a statement that you have many installers in our area. I have contacted Ample Power but they are not in our area, they are approx 140km away, so I wouldn't classify them as in my area. You mentioned there are plenty installers, then please provide them. My area is PMB/Hilton. That is all I have asked for right from the beginning, nothing else.

What was the name of the person you spoke to? Did you speak to Gerard from MLT Power? That is a different company that installs like Genset.
You are talking to the factory that manufactures the inverters. We provide support on inverters.
What was the issue with your inverter?

06 Feb 2020, 14:34Lets be clear. You have an unknown dispute not relevant to our inverter with some installer. You called another installer to complain. Then you blamed the factory that makes one of the installed components when the component is irrelevant.
Ample Power is the closest other installer.

06 Feb 2020, 15:54How do you know I don't have a problem with the MLT "Inverters" installed here? Hence me trying to find another installer in our area. I have been in dire straits for over a year. I'm just trying to warn people in our area about the support structure one has when investing in your products. You have made a statement that you have many installers in our area. Only Ample Power is the closest other installer. Who is about 140km away. So you don't have plenty installers in our area. Therefore my presumption of your company or group of companies or whatever you call yourself is true. Once you have your product installed by some installer like Genset and you have a problem with what you call a "preferred installer", THAT"S IT. Rip the system out (R500k you have copies of my invoices from Genset) and push the restart button. That's what I'm trying to get out to the people in our area. Well from the backup you have, it looks like the complete KZN will have an issue just like me. So we will be in darkness both from Eskom and from you.
It like the comparison you made with Samsung and Vodacom. If I had a problem with my Samsung product and had no joy with Vodacom. I have every right to phone Samsung and explain my problem with Vodacom and ask for another outlet that I can deal with, then they can provide the backup and support for its product.

25 Feb 2020, 10:23Good Morning All, I'm back with more information. Let me get the structure right otherwise I will be sued. MLT Drives was established back in 1986, then split into MLT Power and Inverters. This is according to their Company Structure on their web page. They can be contacted on ***, which is the same email address I have been using from the start.
Here is my position:
1) The company given as one of the preferred installers of the MLT Products, as stated in the above communications, is not. I contacted the company, the sales person I spoke to stated that he had been with the company for over 6 months and had never installed one of the MLT Products and secondly, are 140km away. Therefore how does this company state it has unmatched support, which puts them in a unique position as indicated on their website under "OUR VALUES". There's no support. I think the gentleman above just pushed the google button and that company was the first company that came up on his search, or, as indicated in my opinion, MLT is protecting Genset's business in the Hilton and PMB Area.
2) Please people in the PMB and Hilton Area, contact me and I will come and see you personally about my experience with Genset and MLT. I have to push the reset button and start all over again. I don't want anybody else to make the same very expensive mistake I made.
3) Oh yes, coming back to this "unmatched support". Not once did the gentleman in the communication contact me to find out if I had been sorted out by his recommendation. What a joke.
