Pathetic experience with recruitment companies

A position is advertised currently on LinkedIn, Construction Site Manager. It was posted on LinkedIn 2 days ago. If you click on the apply button it opens an Executive Placements page where the potential candidate is informed that the position is closed and you can apply for other positions should you wish. If you search MLS Recruitment (the Recruiter on the Executive Placement page) on Google, you end up with a page directing you to "Grabjobs" and then you end up with Executive Placements again!!! How is it possible that a position can be closed 2 days after posting and secondly, why is it not removed from the advertising pages? I think this employment/recruitment industry needs some drastic cleaning up - it ever so often happens that I come across jobs being advertised that don't exist. This ROT can so easily be covered up by excuses because there is no process whereby the candidate can confirm authenticity and/or accountability (the employing company remains a secret because the agent doesn't want the candidate to contact him directly). This is not the first time that it happens to me - only the last straw on the camel's back that made me post this review!!
