Shocking service
We engaged this contractor, via our builder, to remove existing flooring, prepare the subfloor, carry out screeding, and install laminated flooring. The contractor removed the old floors and began screeding but did not return to site to complete the work. Despite numerous attempts to contact him and several assurances that he would return, the job remained incomplete. We subsequently appointed another flooring company to assess and complete the project. They advised that the existing screeding was not of an acceptable standard and needed to be redone before flooring could be laid. As a result, the work had to be repeated, causing delays and additional costs to us, effectively doubling the overall cost of the flooring project. We are sharing our experience to allow others to make an informed decision.
