CAUTION: Building materials not received or refunded

The business Owner took an 80% deposit of R28 000 on 31/10/2019 to buy site supplies/building items/materials which I NEVER RECEIVED and have yet to be REFUNDED. He assured me the work would be completed by mid November 2019.

My old shade cover was demolished and token things were done eg) an un-levelled thin crumbling cement “floor” of 1cm thin-it’s supposed to be much thicker (this dusty mess had to be removed by others at extra cost to myself).

Thereafter there were many sad stories about his and his families health etc. to try to win time and sympathy YET he refuses to disclose any hospital or supplier details so that you can verify.

To date I have not received ANY BUILDING MATERIALS or REFUND for this incomplete job. All I got were excuses and delays and wasted leave waiting on site for no-one to pitch. My guess is this is his Modus Operandi and I suspect others have also been subjected to the same treatment. I am hoping Mr JM will settle this here with POP. Case #280.
