Refusing to Refund my money

I took a policy with Myway in early March 2023(ML23-***) and they subsequently canceled the policy before the debit date of the 20th March 2023, However, I realized that they proceeded with debit my account on the 20th of March 2023. On 29 March 2023They sent me an email indicating that the policy has been canceled. I have made numerous attempts to request them to refund me my money because they canceled the policy way before the 1st debit order date and to date, I have been running after this company for an amount of R500.00 with no success.

Can they please refund me and they must note that I will be escalating the matter to long term ombudsman until I get my refund.
