MIWAY CANNOT HONOUR CLAIMS

Good day.

i was called in december by MiWay Life offering me a life policy and funeral cover for me and my family. i decided to take up the offer, the consultant said i am covered immediately and if anything happens to me or my family we will be paid out even if the 1st payment has not been received.

on the 15th of January 2018 my 8month old baby passed away suddenly , i contacted miway , they sent me all the documents they require and it was sent to them. i was told they cannot process the claim as my 1st premium has not been paid.

i responded telling them with what the consultant had said to me regarding this and based on our telephonic conversation which is recorded i should be paid out.

to date i have gotten no response from miway. its a funeral cover of R5000 which they are not willing to pay even though i have enough grounds for this to be paid.

I need this to be taken up as this is totally unacceptable.
