*****!!! FUNERAL COVER OPENED WITHOUT MY KNOWLEDGE!!!

So on the 22 August 2023 at 08:00 am i get an SMS notification advising that an insurance company did a credit check on my name and when i checked my Transunion its Miway and i immediately did a dispute which will take a week to solve.. I then check my personal email at around 16:00 the same day and i see i received a funeral cover policy sent to me and it says its a 2 month policy and its a free funeral cover work 30k, all my information is there but my surname is spelt wrong and also my old number is there that shows me that's my old info as i do not even use my ****en surname anymore.

I called a consultant who could not see who opened this, how is that possible!!! He then managed to cancel the cover. How do you open a cover on someone's name without telling them??? Make it make sense. I need to agree to this first even if its free.

I am livid as when you do a credit check on once name it affects my score and i am trying to build it up as it is. I need to know how Miway is going to sort this out and i want to find out who is responsible for this. This is ***** and they can do anything because they have our personal information, i am going to report this to the ombudsman and will take it up with my lawyer as this is not acceptable.
