Yes

It took almost 2 hours (in the evening) for MiWay Insurance to help me on Saturday the 18th of September 2021 when I had a breakdown. My initial call to them was at 17h50 and the tow truck eventually came around 20h10. The quotation sourced for me from the towing company was R1000 and my benefit was apparently R890.00, so that meant I had to pay the outstanding R190.00 to the towing company. I explained to them that I did not have the outstanding R190.00 to pay to the towing company and also asked what is it they can assist with since I am their client and was in need of help at that point in time. I was told that unfortunately they cannot assist, there is nothing they can do on their side. My question is, what if a lady has a breakdown somewhere dark and not safe and did not have the difference to to pay to the towing company, were they going to leave her stuck somewhere next to the road because she did not have R190.00. My point here is, what does MiWay do to assist their clients who are in desperate need. It seems like their bottom line is nothing else but MONEY and TERMS AND CONDITIONS.
