<p>i have been assisitng my colleauge to settle a claim and have found that Miway is in the bussiness of writing off vehicles quite easily as they attach salvage values as high as almost the retail of a vehicle. Miways excuse is that SMD provides them with the salvage values. how does one have the option to buy back a vehicle when you attach a salvage value of over 80% of retail to a vehicle. I have called SMD and they confirmed that Miway requests a value for the vehicle to be sold at. How can that be regarded as salvage. The price that a car will fetch at an auction is not the same as salvage. You might get an individual thats bidding over retail value because he likes that particular vehicle . does that mage that the salvage value of the vehicle. Miway needs to really relook at how they settle claims. they definately do not look after the clients interests.</p>
