Windscreen claim

I submitted a claim to Miway to get my Windscreen replaced, it was referred to Autoboys. My excess was really high at a R1350, but nevertheless I was fine with it Untill I spoke to Autoboys and they said that Miway has approved the glass but aftermarket, which in this case only cost R799 as per a quote I got with PG Glass. Miway doesn't want to pay for the more expensive shatterprufe glass but expects me to pay an excess that is more than what the cost of the glass is.

I can't see why if my car is out of warranty that I can't have the shatterprufe glass installed seeing that my excess is a R1350.

Makes no sense to me.

Time to get another insurer
