WeDrive Complaint not actioned after false promises

On the 27th of Oct, i called in to request the WeDrive service. The gentleman i spoke to was extremely helpful in organising my pick up for 9PM later that evening at the Sandton Convention Center.

Later, Ntokozo Mjokane advised that I send him an mail about what we had discussed. I sent him the mail on the 23rd Nov, he rep**** as an acknowledgement of my mail and promised to render feedback the following day. Till his day, nothing has happened.

On the 27th of Oct, i called in to request the WeDrive service. The gentleman i spoke to was extremely helpful in organising my pick up for 9PM later that evening at the Sandton Convention Center.

Everything that was explained to me on the call took place, i received an SMS confirmation for the booking, but the actual take me home service. When 9pm struck, there was no phone call from the service provider, they were late, didn't bother to notify me of that and only called me at 9:13 to notify me that they had arrived. When that call came through, I was with my girlfriend by her car with her driver. The driver that was scheduled to take my girlfriend home they seemed to be colleagues with my pick up drivers. He called my pick up drivers to let them know that he is with me and he will point me in their direction. I then after received a call from my pick up guy advising he's by the traffic lights close to the Convention Center. The convention center is situated between two sets of traffic lights, one on West str and another on 5th Street.

I eventually got to them, we made a u-turn and headed towards the parkade entrance. When we got there, the guys stopped turned back and told me that they cannot take me anymore as they will be late for another client. I refused to leave the vehicle because i too am a client and right now is my time, but over and above that, THEY WERE LATE to start with. I further asked, because i have consumed over the limit, which is why i arranged the service, how else am i meant to drive back home and get there safely? The drivers didnt seem to care much and had completely detached themselves away from the situation. They insisted that i get out of their vehicle and, call my insurance and sort it out with MiWay cause theres nothing they can do about it. The one guy dialed MiWays no.s and handed me his phone, I took the phone with the intention of reporting them instead of the expected action of arranging another WiDrive service, his airtime ran out and as soon as I handed the phone back, he put his car in motion. I asked what he was doing and he didn't answer me, instead, carried on driving. Shortly after, his partner answered his phone and handed over the phone to me. On the other side of the line was a man by the name of Watson who is their manager. He too, insisted i get out and they carry on with their work and i must call my insurance to sort it out.

The driver continued driving with me in the car where they made a pick up of another client from Melrose Arch and back to Sandton. They continued drving with me in the car, away from the convention center to fetch another client who was also in Melrose Arch. This client had to be driven to PTA and i refused to go there. The driver worked out soe sort of arrangement with his partner and they separated, the one drove with the other client to PTA. The driver drove me to my car, i assumed that they made a plan for an additional person who would assist with getting me home, instead he told me that i should get out and make a plan cause he now has to go to PTA t fetch his partner.

I got out of the car, made my way to my car, sat in there for a while charging my phone so i could make a plan. I had to wake my cousin up and get her to fetch me with her partner.

For a pick up request scheduled for 9PM,i got home just before 1AM and still had to go to work the following day.

I find that MiWay does not conduct proper screenings when appointing the service providers with such great tasks. It is evident that the lives of MiWay clients do not matter for the service providers. Its quite disgusting that I took the responsible route to ensure that I get home safely, on time and mindful of other users of the road, only to be greatly inconvenienced.
