Unhappy service
On the 31st of December 2018 at around 19h30 I hit a pothole on Kirschner Str, Brentwood Park, Benoni, It was pouring with rain, I was driving about 30 km per hour, as I couldn't see and it was literally pouring but like in pouring with rain. Never the less, I didn't know I hit a pothole. But I stop at The Engen Garage on the corner of Great North and Celia Nestadt to buy a meal from Woolworths, only there the petrol attendant told me my front left tire i flat. T o cut a long story short, they changed it for me and on the Thursday the 3rd of January I took my car to Nick Koen, Supa Quick on Great North in Benoni. There I was told I need to replace the rim and the tire. The guy that was helping me, suggested that I should claim it from my MiWay. So we took photos of the rim and the tire. I called Miway the next day, told them the whole story, I was asked if I was under the influence of alcohol, did I report it to the police, who was with me in the car, etc. I was willing to go and get a statement from the 2 petrol attendants who helped me, to state that I was dead sober, and the people inside the garage who assisted me, as they all know me very well. Well then I was told by the guy from MiWay my access amount will be +- R 4 600,00 as I did not report the incident to the police, so there is no proof that I was sober ...... !!!!!!! My words to him was, I can't believe this, I'll rather pay the R 1 400,00 that they quote me for the repairs. I have all the details of the mails, ref nr and the guy from MiWay who I spoked to and his cell nr, because he still said I must send him a whtsup of the photos of the rim and the tire. This is not acceptable. I am very unhappy the way MiWay treated me.
