Unfair rejection of MiHelp home assistance claim

On Saturday morning 13 June 2015 as I was about to unlock my garage door to go to work, my key broke off inside the lock and I had no access to my car. I had to borrow a a relative's car to go to work as I was already running late.

MiWay Insurance has a Home Assistance facility called MiHelp that covers, among other things, the call out fee and 1 hour's labour of a Locksmith. When I contacted MiHelp to lodge the claim, I was informed by a lady called Rebecca that, according to her superior, my situation was not regarded as an emergency and I therefore had to pay for the locksmith myself. His reason was that I was not locked out of my home. Well, if being unable to access one's means of transportation in order to go to work is not an emergency, then I don't know what is. This is strange, because I had a similar claim before with a different insurance company and they paid without hassle.

I was forced to pay the locksmith R830. I am extremely unhappy. Why does one have insurance if they cannot help in an hour of need? My claim ref. no is CL-AA3-01.
