Unauthorised debits

I was contacted by the MyWay Contact Centre and agreed on a MiMotor Combo for my two vehicles (R 99.00 x 2 = R 198.00) as well as MiPersonal Accident Cover for R 50.00.I was informed that the first premium of R 248.00 will be debited on the 20th of April 2021.Surprised was I when a debit of R 992.00 on the 31st of March and another R 496.00 on the 01st of April was debited.I eventually was able to speak to a lady at the Call Centre who informed me that the policy was back dated from October 2020.How can you backdate a scratch and dent policy and a personal accident plan six months.
