You SO CALLED response is just another one of those Automated with zero sincereity!!!!
I am extremely frustrated and disappointed with the service I have received from MiWay regarding my accident claim dating back to May 2024.
I was involved in an accident where another driver, operating a company vehicle, skipped a red traffic light and collided with my vehicle. All necessary procedures were followed at the time of the incident — details were exchanged, and full cooperation was provided by all parties involved.
Following the accident:
  • My vehicle was declared a write-off after initial assessment
  • The vehicle was collected and sent to auction within one week
  • It was sold within two weeks thereafter
Despite this efficiency on MiWay’s side regarding the vehicle disposal, I have still not received my payout nearly two years later. What is even more concerning is the following:
  • The third-party company has conducted its own internal investigation and disciplinary process against their employee
  • The company has personally contacted me twice, confirming they are waiting for MiWay to engage them so they can proceed on their side
  • However, MiWay has failed to reach out to them, despite having all the necessary information
Instead, MiWay claims they prefer to go the legal route based on “experience” with certain insurers. This approach has resulted in unnecessary delays and zero progress on my claim. To make matters worse:
  • My case was initially handed over to an attorney firm that did absolutely nothing before shutting down
  • It was then transferred to another attorney firm in the Fourways/Pretoria area
  • This second firm also appears to be making no meaningful progress
  • MiWay has shown no accountability or follow-up on these attorneys or my case
As a paying client, I find it unacceptable that:
  • My claim has been unresolved for almost two years
  • There is clear cooperation from the third party, yet no action from MiWay
  • I am constantly being sent from pillar to post with no resolution
This experience reflects a serious lack of urgency, accountability, and customer care. What I expect from MiWay:
  1. Immediate escalation and review of my case
  2. Direct engagement with the third party/company involved
  3. Clear feedback on the current status and timeline for resolution
  4. Accountability for the delays caused by both MiWay and their appointed attorneys
  5. Urgent finalisation of my payout
If this matter is not resolved urgently, I will have no choice but to escalate it further through formal regulatory channels.
