Totally ******* service by Miway & Co

A few months ago we decided to change from Sanlam insurance to Miway. My father had had insurance with Sanlam for nearly 50 years but after he passed away, we decided to change to a slightly cheaper Miway. In the past few days, I have come to deeply regret our move and qlso came to understand why Miway is cheaper. Over the past two days I have been having a nightmare experience with them and their service provider SLJ autobody in Strand. When someone reversed into my bakkies door a few months ago, Miway insisted I take the vehicle for repairs at their above mentioned panelbeater which I did...reluctantly. Nothing was wrong with the airbag light after the accident, let me mention that straight away. Although SLJ made me wait for my vehicle quite a bit longer - if I remember correctly it was a week or even longer - I was very satisfied with the work done. They even dropped off the vehicle for me at my house on a Sunday. At the drop-off, the owner told me that the airbag light was flashing but that I could bring the bakkie in at anytime and they would fix it for me in an hour. Long story short, after having waited three ours for them to do their promised 1 job, they called and said that they had sent in another claim to Miway as there was a faulty spring associated with the airbag. I was naturally upset as I needed my bakkie urgently and an extra claim would mean extra money leaving my pocket. Also, if they could promise me an hour, they must have known the cause of the fault! I immediately informed Miway of this. They sent my bakkie to yet another 'independent' - backstreet service provider of theirs who conveniently found that the switch was a fault of Toyotas and therefore they would not settle the claim in any way. This is a horrible experience for me and I am very, very, very dissatisfied. I will forever regret having changed from Sanlam and will warn everyone against taking out insurance with Miway. As far as im concerned their service providers are substandard ******* and I will not trust Miway at anytime with any claims I may have to lodge in future God forbid! Miway is total *******, be warned. Stay away.
