Third party claim recovery process not attended to

I submitted a claim in July 2018, we are in August 2019 and the claims process has not been resolve to date. I was bumped by someone, during that time the other party was very cooperative, even the miway representative confirmed that after having spoken to them. My car was fixed by Miway and i had to pay the excess. The Myway legal representative explained that once they've recovered from the third party i'd be re-imbursed and my claims status put back to what it was before the accident. Months went by and i did not receive any feedback and as made follow up with the legal representative assigned to the claim (Thato Moabi) i was only then told that my claim has been assigned to another person (Walter Langa) whom in short i may say did not seem to care. I get the impression that the recovery is not a priority and was once even threatened that the recovery process might be abondoned if i don't go back to the police station to obtain information that was not asked from me at the time of registering the claim. Just today the guy i've been speaking to just basically told me that he doesn't know how far the process isw without making follow up with the relevan people and basically just sent me details of attoneys apparently dealing with my claim.
