09 Feb 2026, 09:50Dear MiWay Team,Thank you for your response.I must again place the following on record:A MiWay consultant previously acknowledged and apologised for the delay, advising that it had already been over a week since I last spoke to anyone regarding my claim. Despite this acknowledgement, no progress or substantive feedback has followed.I was further advised that the General Manager had issued an instruction that the claim must be paid. To date, no payment has been made, nor has any confirmation or explanation been provided. All required documentation was fully submitted on 8 January 2026, and I was advised of a 7-day waiting period. It is now 9 February 2026, meaning more than one month has passed since submission, far exceeding the timeframe communicated to me.In addition, I sent follow-up emails last week Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, all of which have gone unanswered.I must also raise a serious concern regarding my interaction with MiWay’s Legal Manager, Legogang. I found his conduct to be rude and disrespectful, which has added to the distress caused by this matter. I have therefore requested that I no longer deal with him and ask that any further communication be handled by an alternative representative. This prolonged delay, lack of communication, and the manner in which this matter has been handled has placed significant strain on me, and I am no longer able to continue dealing with this ongoing uncer*****y.At this stage, I have no option but to proceed with lodging a further complaint with the Ombudsman for Short-Term Insurance, as all reasonable internal avenues have been exhausted. All I am requesting is that the claim payment be finalised and paid without further delay, so that this matter can be concluded and I do not need to engage with MiWay any further.I trust this will now be treated with the urgency and seriousness it warrants.Kind regards,
