Terrible Service/Communication & lying to clients
<p>DO NOT insure with MiWay! Their way is the Cheap way...</p> <p>I was in an accident on 11 May and reported the incident immediately. I also went to one of their assessors (HJ Bosch & Sons) the same day to assess & quote on the damages on my vehicle. </p> <p>I received the quote from HJ & Sons the next day and it amounted to R25 000. I took my vehicle to a Panelbeater of my own as well and he quoted me R21 000. I drive a Mini Countryman and the lamp/light alone they have to replace is costing almost R6000. </p> <p>So after hearing NOTHING back from MiWay I decided to phone them last week to find out what is going on, and they informed me that the claim is only approved for R12 000. The manager (Thandeka) I spoke to informed me it is because they get discount from the panel beaters they use. So this is the max amount I can claim for. </p> <p>Now I am working in the Automotive Industry myself, and I have seen what poor work some panel beaters do, and I would like to use the panelbeater we make use of at our dealership as I know his work is excellent. (Nothing against HJ & Sons) </p> <p>But how am I suppose to do that? How is anyone going to fix the damages on my vehicle for half the price it was quoted for? After replacing the light I will be left with R6000. </p> <p>And even if I let one of MiWay's Panelbeaters fix it at that amount, how will they be able to do it? Will they use pirate parts? Will the job even be properly done??? </p> <p>MiWay didnt even include the window that got cracked into the quote. And no one gets back to me to tell me what is going on. </p> <p>I already lodged a complaint with the Ombudsman as this is ridiculous. </p> <p>I regret moving my insurance to MiWay. Dont make the same mistake!!!! </p>
