Terrible insurer when it comes to claims handling

Terrible insurer when it comes to claims handling. They take forever to get back to you, usually only authorize repairs at places of questionable reputation and workmanship and then it's a massive pain to get any proper information out of them. For all my claims they made me jump through hoops to ensure they got the third party's details so they could try and reclaim my excess and damage costs from them but this always leads nowhere until they eventually give up. One one occasion they actually had the courtesy to inform me that they weren't pursuing a case against the ******* immigrant with forged documents despite me tracking down the person, his home and work addresses and information regarding his employer where they could work to seize assets to recoup the costs. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone as their costs will just keep increasing with zero increased benefit to your policy. The only competent person I've come across so far was the guy who responded to my web chat request to get my claims history after two previous attempts failed. He sent it through to me immediately while I was chatting to him. I think his name was Deitrich
